So I know that it is March and we are approaching St. Patricks day but I have some catching up to do. Valentines day for us started on the 13th with the kids having a valentines day program in conjunction with a Grandparents day. Grammie and Papaw made the trip down to spend Grandparents day with the kids.
The kids put on a great program and were so excited that Grammie and Papaw were there to be with them. They also enjoyed spending some time with Grammie and Papaw.

Leah is really into being "twinsies". This goes from matching clothing with someone to matching color cups, plates, vitamins, popsicles, etc. She goes out of her way to try to match something or someone. She was super excited that Grammie had gotten her and Henley matching jackets.
Later she was excited that both her and Henley had owl pajamas on, although Henley doesn't seem as excited...
On Valentines day we traveled to Charlotte to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa before heading up to Raleigh for Connor's 1st Birthday.
Time was short but we had a good time with Grandma and Grandpa and it made for a great Valentines day(s) to spend with so many of our loved ones! On Sunday we traveled up to Raleigh for Sweet Connor's 1st Birthday. I was a super bad Aunt and left the camera in the car so you will have to read/see about it
HERE. We all had a good time seeing Connor and celebrating with him and his parents fiesta style!
After leaving the birthday party we traveled halfway back home with our final pit stop at Grammie and Papaws house. Papaw and Kevin worked hard on a special toy that I know our kids are going to have a lot of fun on...
This is a go cart that used to be Kevin and Ryan's when they were younger. I remember when Kevin and I were dating, the motor on the log splitter died and Kevin and Papaw took the motor from the go-cart and put it on the log splitter. Well now Grammie and Papaw have a gas fireplace so the log splitter is no longer needed and therefore the motor could be returned to the go-cart. Chase was sooooooooooooo excited!
Kevin governed the speed to about as slow as it could go but that didn't matter to Chase, he had a smile from ear to ear. On a more slightly frightening note, Leah was also excited to get a try at the go-cart.
Even though she is our reckless child she seems to be a pretty good driver. It was starting to sleet and rain outside so the kids didn't have much time to ride but they sure had a good time! It was a whirlwind weekend with lots of fun adventures!
