For spring break this year we decided to take our longest camping trip yet and spend a week camping at Myrtle Beach Travel Park with our friends, The Wilsons. Bryan, Sam, Jacob and Charlee joined us for their longest camping trip yet as well. We all started the week wondering if we were going to make it one whole week in a camper with kids. The beauty that surrounded us made things much easier.
Early morning snuggles. Oh and just FYI, Bryce learned how to climb out of his pack n play on this trip and locked himself in the camper, with the keys inside. Luckily after a minute or so he managed to unlock the door. After that incident, Kevin rigged a bed rail we had to keep him in the bottom bunk of the bunk house. It was freeing to have him gone from right next to our bed but also meant for early mornings because he would wake everyone up as soon as he woke up.
We had lots of bike rides and mischief. Of course the Easter bunny came to the campground to visit.
He left easter eggs to find and he left hammocks for the kids.
On Easter we headed to Broadway at the Beach for some yummy burgers and a good time walking around.
Bryce was not a fan and Charlee was smart enough not to lay still long enough to get buried.
The kids hit the jackpot at the arcade and won over a thousand tickets. They were so excited.
We spent our evenings by the campfire trying to stay warm and gaining sanity from the crazy busy kid filled days.
It was fairly chilly most of the time and I was running low on energy due to the early mornings, busy days, and late nights, so lots of coffee was involved.
The kids had so much fun in the indoor pool at the campground. The walks/rides back to the camper were pretty chilly.
Grammie and Papaw joined us and we got another fun afternoon on the beach.
Thursday evening we took the kids to see Pirates Voyage, a dinner and theater show.
We ended up having so much fun we have already started making plans with the Wilsons for a possible return next year.
