Christmas in Clover and Charlotte

Sorry this post is so late.  Life is so great with three kids but they sure do keep me busy between activities, sickness, and their needs/wants.  Our Christmas schedule was packed with family and fun this year.  I worked Christmas eve night and when I got home we had Christmas morning at home and then we packed up and headed to Clover SC to have our McMahan Christmas.

It was so fun to get Henley and Connor together!  They wanted to pat each other on the heads and squeal.  It was like they had their own language.  It certainly brought a lot of smiles to my face.  Once we had gotten some lunch we couldn't hold back the kids (big kids included) any longer and we divided up presents for some good ole fashioned unwrapping.

Grammie, who was quite miserable with a cold over Christmas, managed to get some grand baby snuggles and look like she was feeling great at the same time!

The kids managed to open their presents in all of 2 minutes and of course wanted to play with them all. Uncle Ryan and Aunt Steph got Chase a dinosaur fossil dig that Chase so graciously allowed Leah to help him excavate.

And by far the best present of the day was this cute thing...

Leah was super excited to get new bike just her size from Grammie and Papaw!

She was off right away and LOVES her new bike! Everyone else had to get in on the action.

As usual it was extremely difficult to get a good group shot of everyone but we did pretty good.

Leah got matching pajamas for her and her "Leah" doll from Grammie and was so excited!

Friday was Uncle Ryan's birthday and we had a great time celebrating with him!  The Saturday following Christmas we headed back home to Anderson so I could work for a couple of nights. When we got home the bounty was large...

On Monday morning we packed up again and headed to Charlotte to celebrate Christmas with my family.  Uncle Nick was already there and ready to hang out....

The kids could hardly wait to open some presents...

Following the same trend it took them all of 2 minutes to finish opening their presents.  They were so excited and we allowed them to dig into some of their new toys.  Grandpa was happy to help.

Grandpa was happy to help Henley open her presents and Henley was happy to tear presents and eat paper.

After all the excited died down we enjoyed a yummy dinner and Grandpa decided to spin Henley with a popsicle.

We had an unbelievable Christmas packed full of family and fun.  We are so blessed to have all of our family close enough to get to share the holiday's together and cherish the memories that we make!

Merry Christmas

 Merry Christmas from the McMahan's!

It has been a rough fall and beginning of winter at the McMahan's.  We have been hit with sickness after sickness. Taking one of us down at a time leading to weekly trips to the doctors. Luckily through it all everyone has been troopers and I am hopeful that with everyone getting a round of antibiotics just before Christmas that we will be healthy for a while leading into the new year.  Even doped up on antibiotics Henley still managed to be the cutest baby....

Thanks Grammie for the super cute outfit!  Chase and Leah had their Christmas program at school and Chase's class preformed jingle bells on the hand bells and they did awesome!

Henley posed for a few pictures in all her cuteness...

The kids were super excited Christmas morning.

It didn't take them long to open their presents. Leah finished hers in about 30 seconds and started moving on to Kevin's presents.  Although she was very excited about what was inside her presents I think she enjoyed unwrapping more than anything else.

Henley wasn't really sure what was going on but she loved watching the craziness.  Leah's big present was a dog.

Chase got a new game for his DS.

Chase was also pretty excited about his new step piano from his Great Aunt Glenda and Great Uncle Chuck.

It was so much fun to watch the kids reaction to each of their gifts.  This was just part one to their crazy Christmas.  After Christmas morning we traveled to Grammie and Papaw's house for the McMahan Christmas gathering (I will post later on that).  Then the following Monday we traveled to my parents house for our final Christmas gathering with the Anderson's.  After all the Christmas gatherings my parents and Brother traveled down to our house for New Years BASH.  I didn't get any pictures of the festivities except for this picture of Henley with my dad...

We had a great time bringing in the new year with my parents and brother!  Happy New year everyone!

Thanksgiving?

Ok so I know that I am two holiday's behind but I am very thankful that my family was able to come down to Anderson to visit and enjoy Thanksgiving day with us.  I figured I could take a quick  minute to share some of the pictures from our fun day.  First Chase and Leah from their school Thanksgiving program...

Henley's first Thanksgiving and we are still very thankful for her joy!

Chase and Leah showing their love for one another....

I have always been a Daddy's girl so here is one with us all snuggling on the couch...

We asked Laura to take a family picture for us and it was going fairly well when she asked the kids to be silly which resulted in Leah flinging her arms around and hitting Kevin in a very sensitive spot.  Laura of course caught each moment on film....

After Kevin recovered from his injury we managed to get a really good shot of all of us....

And my favorite picture was a group shot of all of us.  Kevin didn't realize he had the camera on burst so when it continued to take pictures we got the giggles which made for a good picture.

I am very thankful for my family and every moment that I get to spend with them.  The time never seems to be long enough!  I hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving and hopefully it won't be St. Patricks day before I get to Christmas!
