For my birthday from Grammie and Papaw I got a seasons pass to the Henry Ford. I know it doesn't sound all that exciting but it is a really neat place with a lot to offer. There is the
Henry Ford museum that is quite large with lots of fun exhibits for people of all ages. The pass also gets you into Greenfield village with is like stepping into an 80 acre time machine. It brings you back to the late 1800's where you can ride an old steam engine, an old Ford, take a horse and buggy ride, or stroll in and out of historical buildings/houses. I took the kids down with my friend Diana for the first time last friday to check it out.

After my test run of Friday we took the kids for a special event on Saturday.

Thomas the train was at the village to visit with all the kids. Chase has never been a huge Thomas fan but he has a couple videos and likes trains so we figured he would enjoy seeing Thomas in person. I wish we would have gotten it on video when we first saw Thomas because Chase went crazy jumping up and down and screaming. I never expected he would get so excited. While we waited for our time to take a ride on Thomas we checked out some of the activities they had set up for the kids and the train roundhouse.

Chase LOVED that you could go under one of the trains in the roundhouse.

They had some fun cars set up for the kids to drive around.

Our ride on Thomas.

After spending some time with Thomas we caught a quick ride on the carousel.

The boys then headed over to catch a quick car ride.

Our friend Claudia was there with us with her boys who rode in the car with Kevin and Chase. It was quite and exciting and busy day and we look forward to many more fun days out at Greenfield village this summer!
