We are loving the warmer weather and are getting excited about the upcoming summer. This past Sunday we had some friends over and Kevin pulled out all the stops and set up all our water toys. It wasn't the hottest day we are going to get this week but it was a nice day to be outside! The kids decided to sit back and relax in the new pool that Grammie and Papaw got for them.
Even though the water was a little cold, Leah, the fearless, dove right in....
Henley was hanging out in the shade with Daddy.
Until he decided to torture her...
I don't think she appreciated the cold water on her toes. In Kevin's defense she didn't mind subsequent toe dips :). As our friends arrived the water guns came out and everyone was fair game. Needless to say, I stayed out of range. Kevin was not so lucky!
Henley was a smart girl as well and decided to chill on the porch.
After the water guns started getting old, Kevin pulled out the water balloons. He had a pretty good assembly line going to get them all filled. You see how the boys are just observing and the girls are the ones doing the work.....
The war of course only lasted a matter of minutes, but it was a fun few minutes. The kids had a wonderful Sunday afternoon battling it out with their Daddy and friends and when it was all over, everyone was exhausted...
