Our dear friends the Korver’s invited us to spend the day with them out at lake Hartwell today. Christine’s dad got a campsite at Springfield on the lake so we would have a nice spot to spend the day with kids. We decided to start our day out on the boat.
Being out on the lake made Kevin really wish that we still had a boat. The lake is overflowing so it was very hard to find an island to land the boat so the kids could have some play time.
Once we did find a small piece of land the kids had a wonderful time!
After some playtime the troops were getting hungry so we loaded back up and headed back to the campground. While we got the burgers and corn cooking Kevin and Leigh-Ann took the kiddos down to the playground and swim area for some more fun.
Again the water level is so high part of the playground was underwater but it just made it more fun for the kids. When it was ready to eat Kevin decided to swim the kids back to our campsite.
We had a really great day! Thank you Tommy and Christine! On our way home we passed by Saddler’s Creek BBQ and couldn’t resist picking up some dinner.
