For Fathers day we made a quick trip to Grammie and Papaws to convene with Ryan, Steph, and Connor and of course Grammie and Papaw. This was the first time we all have been back to Grammie and Papaws new place since Christmas, which wasn’t a very good visit for Grammie since she was pretty sick while we were there. We arrived on Saturday around lunch time and Grammie and Papaw had a little surprise for the kids….
I think Papaw was instructed to get a small kid pool and in Papaw fashion it was a little bigger than small but was a good compromise for all the ages to be entertained. The added water squirters were a hit and even Papaw got in on the action….
Chase had been talking nonstop about the “bull whip” at Grammie and Papaws and took advantage of naptime/quiet time to work on his skills….
When he was all whipped out, with some persuading from Papaw and Daddy, Chase and Leah (Papaw and Daddy) made a little house….
Grammie provided some entertainment….
and the kids wanted to show Grammie and Papaw what pain they had put their Daddy through at their workout that morning.
Around dinner time Ryan, Steph, and Connor arrived and the littles got a little playtime together while the bigs enjoyed some Papaw time….
The next day we enjoyed a yummy Fathers day breakfast (thanks Grammie) and then made our best effort to get some good group pictures….
As you can see above the little ones were done with pictures by this point in time but we thought we would try our best to get one more shot. Connor and Henley were hot and tired, Leah was scared of sitting on the tractor, and Chase was Ok but ready to be done.
There wasn't a moment when everyone stopped crying at once, we were done at that point. We had a great time and really enjoyed our family time at Grammie and Papaw's. Happy Father's to to all the wonderful fathers in my life!
