Moving Part 3- The solo parent adventure for housing

Sunday morning 5/1, Kevin and loaded up in the truck with the boat behind us to head to Michigan.  The kids were able to stay in Charlotte with their Grandparents so that Kevin and I could try to get housing situated.
Leaving North Carolina Tennessee warmly welcomed us. Other than felling the pulling/bumps from the boat being towed behind us, the trip so far was very enjoyable.
Once through the Tennessee mountains, Kentucky welcomed us. Still a very uneventful journey so far until we were just about through Kentucky...
We found some road construction and this was our speed for a while.  We found a way to exit and a very nice lady at the gas station helped us detour around the traffic.

notice upper right hand corner of picture there is the Welcome to Ohio sign
Once we made it past the traffic we were instantly in Cincinnati Ohio.  By now we were to the point where you just want to be there!  We were 8 hours down around 5 to go.
Yea!! Finally we found Michigan! We were ready to get out of the car.  Sunday through Wednesday we stayed in a hotel and then on Thursday we were able to get into our temporary housing. All of our stuff from the house is in storage until we can move into permanent housing so we were provided with a fully furnished 3 bedroom apartment for the first month.
We are the door to the right.

This is what you see when you walk in the door... straight up!

Oh yeah, you can't forget about the the nice shinny truck.  It of course got rained on during our trip up, so for those of  you who know my husband he was twitching until we got to the apartment and he was able to wash his truck.  I do have to say it looks nice :).
